Every film takes one money mechanism apart: who built it, who profits, and why nobody noticed. This site holds the other half of that work — the figures, the documents they came from, and the places where the record is thinner than it looks.

The standard
A number is not a fact until two records agree on it.
Two sources passing on the same original estimate are one source. Before a figure is allowed into a script it is traced back to where it was first published — a filing, a court record, a statistical series, a regulation — and read in full at that point.
Figures that survive that test are marked here as standing on two records. Figures that rest on a single estimate are marked as such rather than quietly rounded up. Figures that fail are cut from the film, and stay cut.
The register
Every source, in one place, whether or not you watched the film.
The register lists what each source actually backs, not just that it exists. It is sorted by what kind of record it is: the filing itself, the reporting on it, or somebody’s reading of it. Where a citation has no public link — a court exhibit, a book, a paywalled series — it is named in full anyway.
